Program Information


The International Dairy Management seminar is a one week course conducted by Cal Poly faculty and staff, led by Dr. Les Ferreira, at the University Dairy facility. Seminar materials are presented utilizing the Cal Poly Dairy computer and lab facilities and will include hands-on activities when applicable. Courses are limited to 30 students on a first-come basis and are taught in English only. The seminars are scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday. On Friday there is an all day tour to the California Central Valley to view modern dairies, the University of California Davis Research and Teaching Veterinary Center, and World Wide Sires headquarters.


The fee for the seminar is $1350 and will include:

* Transportation costs once you arrive in San Luis Obispo (to and from the airport, to and from the University, dairy tours, local activities). Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from San Luis Obispo, CA and will be met at the train or bus station or airport
* Six nights of lodging in an off-campus hotel
* Meals from Monday evening through Sunday morning
* Costs and materials associated with the Seminar program
